Understanding the MLS Directory
The MLS Directory includes all MLSs in the United States and Canada and allows for searching and filtering by coverage area and ownership type. The directory ranks and sorts each of these MLSs by size based on member count, and allows the community to provide updates, ensuring that information is up to date. Within each MLS profile, we show the affiliated real estate associations that they serve. For those in search of global MLSs, these can be found in the Global directory.
MLS Directory Breakdown
Ownership Type
MLSs are classified within four ownership types. By far the most common type are association-owned MLSs, who were often created as an extension of the local or regional REALTOR® association. A brokerage-owned MLS is an MLS that originates from a group of brokerages in a market and is governed separately from the REALTOR® association. Some MLSs also have a hybrid structure and are owned by both local brokerages and local REALTOR® associations. Finally, MLS can also be privately owned and controlled.

Global Directory
There are very few Global MLSs, however they can be found in the Global directory where you will be able to view their coverage by region.
